Tibetan Singing Bowl Healing

The singing bowl originated in the pre Buddhist Shamanic Bon Po culture of the Himalayas and is often called a "Tibetan" singing bowl.  They are actually made in Bhutan, Nepal, India and Tibet. The bowl culture seems to date back to the Bronze Age in China some 3000 years ago and at its peak extended geographically as far as Burma and Indochina.

Some sources state that the bowls are made of seven sacred metals: gold, silver, mercury, iron, lead, copper and tin. These handmade bowls vibrate five individual and simultaneous tones, each at its own consistent frequency and can sustain a vibration for minutes. The sound is pure and of such high quality that these bowls were originally used for offerings to the gods.  It is said that some of the highest Lamas used them in rituals to travel to other dimensions and other worlds. Legend says that the secrets of sound yield so much power that it must be kept hidden.

Before Treatment:
For a healing session with the Tibetan Singing Bowls you will be asked to remove all metal items of jewelry and/or metal clothing (belts) and body piercings. This is because the powerful vibrations will affect all metal items on your body.

You will also be asked if you have any metal inside your body, such as metal pins following surgery, or a pacemaker. In these circumstances it is completely safe for you to receive 7 bowl and/or 4 bowl healing but there will be restrictions for individual bowl therapy (when a bowl is placed upon the body for specific individual healing purposes).

During Treatment:
You will be asked to lie on the floor (with support cushions if required), close your eyes and relax. Then the treatment will begin. Allow the bowls to work their magic. When the healing is finished relax in the silence. This allows the energy to continue working through your system. When all therapy is finished you will be offered light refreshment.

During the healing session you will be soothed by the music of the bowls but it is the powerful vibration that will be working through both your energy fields and your body on a cellular level.
